[TheForge] CRAZY vise prices

I have delt with the dealer that is selling this vice in the past and have been very well treated.  I don't think that he is driving up his price by having a buddy bid on the vice.  I have seen quite a few of his auctions go without bids in the past.  The fact is that he has some hard to find items and if you want one you'll have to pay his price.  I would love to have an 8" 240 lb vice, but I can't afford the bid.  But if I did have that kind of money around I really think that the price if fair for such a great tool.  The real problem is that most working blacksmiths are just making enough money to get by and would always prefer that great find buried in the back of a barn that the owner just wants cleaned out.

I did hear that was one of the tactics of the fraud-meisters. That, and
creating their own raving positive feedbacks to lure people into thinking
they are dealing with honest folks. Not!

 I'm guessing that both parties to this auction are buddies trying to
drive
up the bid. I don't think it's an auction at all until a third party bites
at the bait.
