Basically the drawing dies are just big fullers. I made them from the top
of a railroad track, ground a curve on the top about the same as a 2 lb.
coffee can, next to the pieces of track I put a piece 1" wide and 4" long
the same height as the track pieces, I use this flat section to correct the
sideways spreading when tappering work.
I've tappered hundreds of pieces of 1/2" square bar for scroll work with
this setup, it's not a power hammer by any means but it sure beats swing a
hand hammer.
