John: Spelter can be created by filing or drilling brass stock. The
resulting borings, turnings or shavings are then collected in a clean
container. Do not use oil on your cutting tool while generating shavings
for spelter. You may be able to find commercial spelter form a firm like mc
Master Carr, but I have always used home made.
