Mozilla is open source software. You can see the source code (if that 
does you any good), and download it for free.

Netscape sponsors Mozilla somehow; Netscape incorporates Mozilla 
features as they become stable.

I suspect others can give better detail than I.

Microsoft ate the empire state building!
