And, just trying to earn a living in the corporate world until I can earn a
living as a blacksmith.

why does this reply remind me of a used car salesman?
people who worked for enron, global crossing, tyco, arthur andersen,
worldcom, qwest, adelphi, etc also thought they worked for "great"
companies. that was until they were laid-off and various company
executives indicted for obstructing justice, fraud, tax evasion,
etc..
at least the above companies have kept the paper shedder manfacturerers
in business.
