[TheForge] homeschooling blacksmiths was new web page

We do. Different states have different rules (vary widely<G>). Many
areas have home school groups that get together for sports and support
on things that are difficult to teach at home (lab work in chemistry for
one). Most groups are religiously based around here, but welcome
outsiders. Also (at least in our area) there are "events" about 3 times
a year where companies visit (like a convention) and sell teaching
material. From an entire year to one book at a time. Right now only
have one 10 year old at home, but have run 2 others through the mill,
and got them married off without them visiting in the big house<G>. In
general, I would say to home school, and then have them get the ged so
that they can prove that they have done well.

Note: Answers to the questions on the local ged are somewhat political
and pc. Get a ged prep book before taking it.

If you have questions, holler direct. If I don't know, I'll ask the
wife or others here at work that home school.

I just emailed Andy off list about homeschooling with questions. Are
there any other theforge families who homeschool? -Kirsten
