[TheForge] Bed Frames

Finally a topic I have experience in !
I finished my first blacksmith commission .
It was a head and footboard, actually it was a head & foot "iron" .
I sold it for $1450.00.
It turned out to be $10/hr, but that is another story. It was a king size.
The one problem that I did not predict was that most bed frames are not
made for footboards so the frame comes up short , to short to attach a
ftbd . So, I added the needed material and then fabricated the ftbd hookup.
I added approx 10" of 2"x2" angle to each side. I purchased a generic K-size
frame at SAMS CLUB.
And I did this project with Oxy -Acetyl, & no forge but a propane weed
burner!
I would like to know if any one has built the Sandia Lab forge on the abana
web site? I have the plans and was lookin' for feedback.
Thank you!
