I built a headboard a few years ago that the customer put on wooden posts and
rails, but I would like to build a complete bead one day. One of the things I
had thought about was to use heavy flatbar on edge, tenons on the end then put
wedges into slots in the ends of the tenons (called tusk tenons in woodworking
). The bed could be taken appart and the joinery would be visually interesting
a lot of work though.
