hello;

many treadle scroll saws were built in rockford, il
just northwest of me by the barnes company. millers
falls built the 'new rogers' treadle scroll saw.

concerning electric scroll saw:
0. from e-mails exchanged with several hobbyist jewelers
and decorative tinsmiths the electric scroll saws are
either:
    a. single speed, no chance for variable.
    b. variable speed, but in steps not continuously.
    c. many void the warrenty if used to saw ferrous metals.
1. i am really trying to get away from electrical tools. air
or person powered are preferable.

an old sewing machine can be brought anywhere from $10.00 to
$50.00 usd. since i have four sewing machines here i figure i
use one instead of it just sitting there occupying space.
