We watched a movie in MassMedia last semester about the media. Dont know if
anyone has seen 'Wag the Dog' but its all about the media running the
country. I didnt think it was the greatest movie but was quite interesting
to see what the media COULD and most likely DOES do. Most likely not on the
same scale but Im sure it goes on all the time. Blake

Which is precisely why folks like me worry about it when one corporation =
or individual owns too many media outlets. Fortunately, with the advent =
of cable TV and the internet, this is no longer quite the issue it used to =
be, but still most of the "news" comes to most of the people through a =
minority of the media outlets.

Just another case of the media being the real power in the country. They
don't really care about the truth. They slant things the way they want
it to sound in order to get the results they want, wether it's ratings,
or in many cases, getting or keeping the people they want in power. =20
