[TheForge] Finish on a fork

Quite a few years ago I made a fork and spatula to use on the bar-b-que.
I sand blasted the m clean, burnished them with a wire wheel, then heated em
till blue, then applied a thin coat of veg. oil , no heat just a thin coat
of oil, this looks pretty nice.
Since then my bar-b-que tools have had absolutley no care, I made them to
use.
They've been in the dishwasher a million times, left in the sink over night,
left outside over night, hand washed, etc.
Now they have a little rust, they have the look of old used iron, this looks
pretty nice too.
I guess if the fork was made to use I wouldn't worry about the finnish, just
use it.
