[TheForge] practical metalworking

While I have no intention of getting into the politics of the ot freedom, i
dare you stuff, I would just like to point out that a competent metalworker,
as many on this list are aware, can easily convert many semi-auto weapons to
full auto. I have met persons, who for obvious reasons shall go unnamed, who
have performed said conversion on commonly available McAssault Rifles (ie
cheap ak-47's).
I mention this not because I am in any way advocating such a thing, and in
fact I strongly urged these persons against such actions, but just to say
that the presence of fully automatic weapons in the woods, and at popular
shooting spots in my area, is not unusual. In my state, washington, state
law prohibits all private ownership of full auto, and even a class 3 federal
licence will not allow you to have one. But they are indeed out there,
hopefully not shooting deer.
Once something has been invented, it can never be eradicated as long as
there are clever hands and worthy craftsmen. Which we are, but hopefully we
are using our skills for more productive things. Should there ever be an
invasion of the US, however, I am sure many of the handy types on this list
would be able to help create all sorts of weapons.
