<g> Just what my husband would love, another hobby for me! He thinks I'm =
crazy already, since I do webdesign and maintenence (on 5 sites), =
cross-stitching, cross-stitch designing, custom cross-stitching, =
scrapbooking, am getting info together for our geneology, working with =
horses at any and every opportunity (we're trying to find land to buy so =
I can raise my own), and now working on a book. Honestly, I would love =
to spend time working with one of you, I just need to find the time and =
the shop. :) So, do any of you live near Grand Forks, North Dakota? If =
so, let me know, and you'll probably have a frequent visitor (if you =
don't mind, of course)!=20
I do know that the best writing comes from your heart and from what you =
know best. It's probably why my main character spends most of the time =
alone or with animals (much the way I did growing up on a farm in WI). I =
don't really know where my blacksmith character came from, but he just =
feels like he should be there, along with a young woman working as =
apprentice (odd for the time frame I'm looking at in history, but hey - =
mine's a fictional world <g> ).=20
You know, my mother would shake her head and laugh if she knew I was =
working on a book. She has always told me that I have an over-active =
imagination and that I should put it to work for me somehow. I'm hoping =
that if I can't come and spend time with someone at their shop, I can =
convey the relationship of smith to his work well through what you share =
with me. That being said, I hope if some of you have stories of things =
that you have done or have happened to you, or someone you know, in your =
years of cussing clinkers, <g> you would share them with me.=20
