I should have thought about giving a better idea of a place/period in my =
initial post, but since I didn't, I'll do that as best I can now.
The setting is similar to that of the Upper Midwest states (ND/MN/WI). =
The time period is actually fairly flexible, but I'm thinking 16-18th =
century.=20
I'm glad someone pointed out to me that you would apprentice first and =
then later work as a journeyman. Thank you - I can see I've got a lot to =
learn! :)
