Bob,
there is a book on strikers available, and no one has mentioned it so far. A while ago I acquired a copy from Norm Larson,
the book is an Italian book called "Gli Acciarini" or Fire-steel. Its a small 140 page book in Italian and English with color
pictures on every page. If you want to make strikers this book will give you many ideas.
