I'd like to encourage everyone to consider getting and displaying this
collection at local events. Other than the events listed, only 3 others
have made inquires into obtaining the display for other events.
Unfortunately they conflicted with already scheduled events.

As far as the logistics of getting the display from place to place and
who pays for it. The plan is to have the group wanting to display the
collection pay for shipping to their event from the collection's current
location. Then the next group would pay to ship it to the next
location. I obtained the collection originally to display at four events
after coordination with 4 local guilds. The rationale being to save on
shipping costs and time delays shipping it from place to place. If
anyone has an event that fits in between these events (including about a
week shipping time on each side) at this point you'd have to pay for
shipping both ways unless YOU want to work something out with the follow
on guild. It looked like it would cost about $200-250 to ship the
collection one way from Kansas to Pennsylvania. That cost was cut in
half by using a high volume commercial account and shipping it TO a
business address. At least for shipping from/to me I can use that same
method as long as you can provide be a business and not a residential
address to ship the collection to.

I have suggested to others that the best way to get the collection to as
many events as possible is to coordinate with a number of guilds in a
region and do I am doing in the northeast, hand carry it from event to
event.

The collection was shipped to me in regular cardboard boxes with
Styrofoam, Bubble Wrap and a blanket. My plan is to put together a more
reusable set of shipping containers before the end of the scheduled east
coast events(or sooner if I have to ship it somewhere in between).

The collection will be displayed at the following events:

Dan Boone's Pasture Party 22 February Lousia, VA
Furnace Town Annual Joint Mtg 28-28 March Salisbury, MD(FTBG)
