[TheForge] crane for moving vices

I saw a neat crane in the blacksmith shop at Sauder Village in Archbold,
Ohio.
It looked to be Uni-strut with trolley wheels running inside. Two lengths
were
mounted to the ceiling some distance apart but parallel to each other. Under
those
were 2 more pieces some distance apart also in parallel but perpen dicular
to the
first 2 pieces. From the center of a bar fastened between the last 2 pieces
was
a chain fall. This is very similar to a bridge crane ( I think that is the
right term ).

milling fixtures in my shop. What recommendations would you have? Have any
of you built anything like this for your shops? I want to make it to handle
only about 200-300# since that is as big as I can imagine I will need to
lift at this time. Work area around my machines is too tight for a fork
lift and I cannot get a a cherry picker's base under the lathe bed. I was
thinking about something mounted behind the lathe and or mills or from the
ceiling.
