John; they sure look like a good deal..and every once in a while , they
actually are. I have a small pile of dead HF disk grinders, and the
parts don't interchange.
I would respectfully submit that a die grinder is way too small for the
job. I did mine with a 4 1/2" grinder and regular grinding disks for
the bulk of the work. The HF cheapie grinding disks on super sale (
gotta wait) are pretty good for that sort of stuff. The cheap ones are
soft and wear fast, but they also cut faster than harder wheels. I went
through some number finishing my swage block. as the wheels wear down,
you can get into smaller radius areas..
On using these machines, most anyone not wearing lung protection is a
fool....Pete
