Sorry for posting something that is so far off topic.  I am getting desperate to find 
the types of screws described below.

I remember seeing these screws years ago.  They were often used on tools such as 
calipers, etc.  As I remember them they had a hex head that was very low in height 
and the hex was fairly large--maybe 7/16 or so.  They were like a shoulder screws in 
that they would hold the item together and would have a shoulder that was large but 
not very long.  Like for a callipers made from two pieces of .050 material the 
shoulder would only be about .100 long.  The threads would be a fine pitch and the 
nut would have a low height.  They were used with a cup or belleville washer to 
keep tension on the joint.

I want to make some calipers with various motifs of the "girlie" design and would 
like  to use these types of screws.  In fact I think it's crucial or I'd forget the whole 
project.  No, I don't want to make the screws and nuts.

If anyone knows where these screws can be purchased, I would sure like to know.
