[TheForge] Steel Sources for Weapons

I was wondering what a good source is for sword making. I know you can
(and I have) make knives from railroad spikes and car springs, but what
is good for sword making? Please keep in mind that I have only made 3
knifes and have never attempted a sword before so I'm looking for an
inexpensive source as I won't be selling anything anytime soon. Thanks

For knives, 125# anvil will work just fine.  for swords, I use a 220#
anvil and a 4' piece of rail for straightening/straightness checking,
for armoring I use a series of stakes and stumps.
