Frosty:
Well said, Frosty. There is such a seed of cancer in unforgiveness and such a peace and assuredness in forgiveness. Once a person figures that out there is no going back to the old value system.
Christ's life and work are unassailable. He holds each of his followers to a higher standard. Some of his followers dismiss their personal responsibility, while others take it seriously and live an authentic life following Christ. I've seen more compromisers than authentic Christians and the difference is huge. It is about being completely sold out to living like Christ would have us to live or, choose instead to hold onto the reins and try to navigate life through our own intelligence and strength. The latter is a watered down faith and both a lie and a corruption. He demands complete surrender. There is no partial surrender or deal cutting. It is a narrow road one must travel to be a follower of Christ, but the rewards both now and for eternity are limitless. I was in my forties before I learned what it meant to follow Christ but I have no interest in going back to how I was, believing the lies of humanism and secularism. Merry Christmas.
