The abrasive is mothballed, the cold saw comes out occasionally for sight work, less so for dedicated runs of something or if I have a miter set up on the bandsaw that I don't want to change. Other than that, the bandsaw gets exclusive use for good reason, accuracy, dependability and economy(time and $). I have a small shop so I don't have space to dedicate to the chop saws. If I did I may use the cold saw more. Bare in mind, I am not a busy ornamental iron shop, but most of the ones I've been in have various methods of cutting but rely heavily on bandsaws and chop saws. If I had to choose one it would be a good bandsaw.
