For all I know it could have come from the inventors initials. Both primary 
and secondary dies are rotated on a square mandrel. The machine has a lever, 
which raises the secondary die (scroll pan) into play once the material passes a 
certain point. This device is far too complicated for you to build from email 
descriptions. Research it online, and if you find it fits your plans, send 
for the patent drawings. You can find that service online too.
