Vaccines have eliminated a number of horrors from our lives..that we 
don't see the nasty results daily, as folks used to through most of 
human history, lulls us into thinking that the small risk inherant in 
getting the shots is worth paying attention to. Small pox, tetnus, 
whooping cough and on and on are pretty much gone..and for a reason. 
When a sufficient % of the population isn't imunized, we are a set up 
for those diseases to sweep through us once again.
Your immune system constantly deals with a huge onslaught ..the "germs" 
in your gut alone have more genes than you do. The immune system load 
the vaccines impose is dinky by comparison, for most folks.The % of 
folks who see serious conplications is also dinky.   Looks like cheap 
insurance to me.
If vaccines are controversial, it's because we forgot the 
past...........Pete F
