Select "Thumbnails" from the "File" menu.

Select several thumbnails with the mouse while holding down the "Ctrl" key on
the keyboard.

Then select "File / Create contact sheet from selected thumbs"

That should be enough to get you into trouble.

I like IrfanView, but I don't know how to print several pics on the same
page with it. How about a clue?
