I use a program called FinePrint 2000 which can do this as a side-benefit. 
The program itself is a virtual printer, in that you tell your program to 
print to it. It then collects the pages and holds them. You can then tell 
it to print the pages in bypass mode, or 2 per page, or 4, or 8 or in 
booklet format. I use it when I'm printing pages for off-line reading. It 
allows me to save toner and paper. In your case, you can tell it to put the 
appropriate number of pictures per page.
