[TheForge] UMBA TAPES

Hey Roger -

I have had the same type of response from Hewlett-Packard. I bought a
printer which had problems, and finally stopped working a day after the
warranty ran out. I had called them and got no results during the warranty
period, but the day it ran out, I was told I needed to go to the 900 number
for any help. When I got there, (paying for help) I was bantered with,
generally time wasting, and finally hung up on. I won't expect anything to
last past the warranty period from now on. The people there could not tell
me what was wrong with the printer, so I think they hung up on purpose to
end the conversation. He just cut off in the middle of a sentence. Maybe
they (manufacturers) are all going this way, but we don't have to like it.

Even if you're on the right track,
you'll get run over if you just sit there.
                          Will Rogers
