No actually your statement is wrong. 

Out of 535 federal lawmakers fully from BOTH sides of the aisle

212 are lawyers---almost an even split too
84 are CEO types
48 are professional politicians
58 are teacher/professors
40 in Real Estate/Insurance
and the rest are from all walks of life from farmers to social workers and 
even 1 military person

But the most are still Lawyers
