Hey

Sderfors, (Soderfors) anvils is of very good quality, they all had a
steelplate of app. 10-15 mm thickness welded on top at the manufacturing, so
its possible to ground off the surface without loosing the hardening.

One link , with some pics is aviliable on ( unfortunately its in swedish,
but ...)

http://www.smide.net/

click on "artiklar" , then click "std" ,
and finally on "Sderfors"

> While on holiday one of my relatives noticed an anvil in a shop and
thought of me. Anyway, she asked the store owner to email some photographs
of the anvil to me so that i could see if i wanted to buy it. It is quite
small, about 20 inches (i hope that is accurate , i normally use metric) and
is badly worn. I will try to post it to photoaccess.com under the tools2
section. I already have a similar sized one but it is not in such bad
condtion. As you can / will see it is a Goderfors made in Sweden. The
asking price is around $130 US but i could probably get it for less. The
question is, what do you think, should i buy it, is it good, should i pay
less? It would probably be best if i emailed you the pics personally because
i am having trouble with photoaccess.
