Well, why not try it and find out, rather than theorizing endlessly? For our
purposes, if we can't measure a difference, there IS no useful difference.
While a micron or two might be important in machining or serious science, it
just doesn't apply to most of our usual activities- whonking that iron or
steel into an attractive shape.
