I just had a two week session with EAChase at Penland
You know The gate he did with the cats ?
You know the one
with  the young girl standing playing the violin
finish is WD40

I applied a light coat of boiled linseed oil.  It provides relatively
long-term rust inhibition, which can be renewed as needed.  Val Oil would be
an option, which is somewhat thicker than linseed oil and more durable
(Francis used it as a coating for exterior ironwork).
