I built a gas forge for Caniron for Elizabeth Brim's demonstration. I found out
about 4 days before the event that she needed a large gas forge.  I just
stacked  firebrick put a piece of kaowool board on top and stuck a bank of 3
atmospheric burners that I had someone make in the back.  I really liked the
adaptability of this forge, and I am thinking of making up a bank of burners for
a similar forge in my shop.  This forge did take a while to heat up but it did
work fairly well.  We did have a lot of wind the one day and the I  had to
babysit it with the wind but it was a strong wind.  The one thing I was thinking
of doing with one for my shop was build 4 burners welded together then use
castable refractory to make a brick cast burner flares.  I will have to have a
look at your forge Ralph have you done any welding in it?
