Hey- arent you a blacksmith? why dont you make one? just use allthread, bend
it hot. 
If all you need is one, that is the way to go.

If you need a hundred, thats a different story.
A few years ago I needed a whole bunch of stainless j bolts, and a bunch of
ss all thread cut to size, found a place in Illinois, I think, that made em
for me at about a half the price of the local bolt distributor.
If you need a bunch, let me know, I will look up the name of the company,
they have something like a hundred dollar minimum, but they will make
anything you want. 

One place you could try is Dynamic Fastener. they supply the guys who build
metal buildings, they have lots of bolts, rivets, some ironworker tools,
electric hand tools, etc. Cheapest place I have found for vise grips- at
least a third less than the hardware store.

They have 3/4" x 15" "L" bolts, $1.65 ea,  but I think that 12" of thread is
going to be the stickler- most bolts only have 2 or 3" of thread. Call em
and see if they can get what you want.
