Scott;
Admittedly, there is an adolescent pyromaniacal element in many of us.
We are drawn to the fire, simply put.
As a child I was repeatedly scolded for playing around with the flame
and hot wax of the sacred candles.
I like fire and I like making big bangs .
I believe that, at the age of 58, have achieved a passable
competence with such stuff as to be able to play with it with a
reasonable margin of safety.
Like humor, playing with fire, or shooting anvils, some risk, some
discomfort, and some petty catharsis are all elements in the funky joy
of those things.
The damage I've done to my fingers was while seriously working..not
while goofing around with explosive gas.
As a proposition, both humor or a Sunday drive are as inaine.
As Americans, we all have a right to go to hell in the handbasket of our
own making (to mix metafores).
Hail our majestic rise to incompetence.
