Today's "facts" sometimes become tomorrows no no's. Scientific  literature
lists many examples.
 Remember the military personnel who witnessed the first atomic test
explosions, from several miles away  essentially only wearing safety
goggles.
Safe practice is constantly evolving as we gradually better understand the
finer and more complex interactions we have  with our environment  and how
they  affect us.
I'd rather be wrong than sorry. My eyes are one of the few parts of my body
that still half way work right.
