Pete/Phoebe/Kevin: Thanks for your input. The vast majority of us know
nothing of our candidates, and a measure of insight can be gained from the
observations of others. Having read the candidates statements, it is
obvious that the board is not a frictionless surface. This is typical of
organizations.
Regarding those who "do not play well with others"; my experience tells me
that such folks typically manage through the "Hurray For Me And *#@! You"
principle, forgetting that the progress of an organization is the result of
team effort. I call it the SPIPA factor (Stupid Person in Position of
Authority)
Perhaps the rank-and-file should take the time to read the candidates
statements and reflect on the difference between leadership skill and
technical expertise...they are ENTIRELY different skill sets.
