Feel free to respond off list if this is a taboo/bad subject.

This seems like the perfect forum for discussion of the upcoming ABANA board
elections. I know there are certain personalities that ignite faster that a
popcorn fart but I'm still curios. I don't mind voting for or against the
folks I know and there's my problem with the ABANA elections. I don't know
half of them. I do know that as past president of our local gun club, I'd
loved to have the interest to have board elections, but usually it's been
whoever shows up, we're glad to have them. With an organization of this
wealth and magnitude, there's obviously more interest and responsibility as
a draw. Does anyone wish to offer me (or the list) any insight on the
candidates they know.

Obviously from the bio's Mr. George Dixon (who I admire as a smith) isn't as
skilled at parliamentary procedure or decorum, c'est le vie. I think that
the Pres. Scott Lankton seems a bit... disingenuious, but that's just a
personal feeling from his demo's and stated politics. Dorothy Stiegler was
my first blacksmithing instructor, and after years as a professional college
student, rates as one of my best instructors.

Personally, I'd like to put an end to the rumor that Dereck Glaser has been
seen wearing women's clothes, :) those are very stylish kilts, (he's
returned my summer dresses, the oxyclean was able to get out the stains,
ha!)..but seriously folks. I shared a shop with him several years ago and
he's quite a sincere and capable man.
