It depends on what you're calling on the flat or on the edge.
Let's just say it's the easier of the two.
It's to hold a large copper kettle (probably an apple butter kettle).
So Kevin, how do you determine how much is the right amount to pull each time?
Do you check it after the first pull or two, then adjust from there?

Bob, when's the wedding? :)... OK, is the ring on the flat or edge?
Actually, doesn't matter. Take your ten+ feet of stock mark it every two
inches, place each mark on the same place of the stationary bending fork and
working fork and make approximately the same pull/motion at each two
inches... just alittle motion each time.
