[TheForge] Pattern Welded Steel

I'm looking for information from those who are familiar with pattern welded
steel. After the piece is etched what do you do to clean and polish the
piece? Do you use any kind of corrosion preventative like wax or perhaps
something else?

From the real New Jersey


Water/Baking soda out of the etch to stop etch....600-1000 grit paper
(depending on what your last grit was on steel)...and then a light
buff...Finally a coat of FLITZ or Ren Wax.
