[TheForge] Missoula Anvil

The mystery has been solved!!  I've been emailing a fella who lives 
in the Missoula area and just thought I'd send him Andy's post 
about spotting the anvil while going down the road.  Of all things, it 
turned out that the guy I've been writing to was involved in the 
operation.  See below--

It was Art Anderson and myself that your note writer saw on I-90.  
Art and I had just traveled back east to Missoula from Lincoln and 
had picked up an anvil (355lbs) for a friend in Washington, Ron 
Ellis.  We had just visited a mutual friend and was saving Ron 
another 1/2 day of travel...  We did notice a van that nearly passed 
us and then dropped back and stayed even with the bed of Art's 
pickup for a half a mile or so...  We figured the van's driver had 
spotted the anvil and was eye-balling it.  He drove on with a smile 
on his face and we wondered who he was...  Anyway the anvil is 
sitting in the 9 Mile Valley, waiting for Ron to stop by and claim his 
find...  It is a herking, big piece of metal...  We used a small flatbed 
pickup that had a winch and crane and saved our backs...  Small 
world...
