[TheForge] Missoula anvil

Speaking of which...

I did a sweat Saturday. Kicked my ass and I loved ever minute of it. =
As we went to stuff our faces afterwards and I took the back steps to =
the house, I notice a farrier's anvil sitting on them, looking to be in =
unused condition. When I asked Bruce, our gracious host, he said when =
he was escaping from California to Washington, he found it on the side =
of I-5 by a rest stop!

Closer examination revealed NO marks of any sort on this anvil, which =
appears to be around 125#. Looks just like a Mankel, but has no ID on =
it whatsoever. It also has a bending fork, or whatever the hell you =
call it, issuing from the heel, straight backwards, as well as a clip =
horn. Cute little anvil. I wonder if it may have slid off a delivery =
truck because I don't htink a hammer has ever made its acquaintance with =
this one.

Too weird.

OK, so was that someone from the list, riding along Interstate 90 =
outside of
Missoula on Thursday with about a 350/450 lb. anvil, with the same
expression as a guy with the ten-point deer or my cat with feathers all =
over
her chin?
What a find! Congrats...
