Rick, Thanks, that was what most were doing is shipping out for
tempering. We need to find the tempering location to buy direct would
probably be the best bet.
Last time I picked up tempered glass for a project was over 18 years
ago for a kidney bean shaped top going on a table........that was $450 back
then, so I can just imagine what that heavy irregular shape would cost now.
We at least know we should seat our customers before giving glass
quotes....... It will save from picking them up.
A good furniture maker friend of mine(wood) just gave me a place he
does business with. I'll be calling them to see if they ship to temper or
do on site.
