Usually there is a 12 VDC fan that is useable for other projects.
Generally they don't die when the power supply dies.  Anything else
inside is not useable unless you are deep into electronics.

Danger!!  Don't poke around inside with it plugged in.  It has 165 VDC
and ac line Voltage inside it.

I think that may be what Bowie uses on his etching machines....
