Chris,
Thanks for the info especially based on your experience working
w/Brad.  Bolting it to the floor is an option.  So is eating my
Wheaties.

Regarding the size of the work done under the press...  My press came
from the Providence, RI jewlery making industry.  It has a bottom die
for some sort of small jewlery band still installed.  Hopefully, this
press is oversized for that scale of work because squishing down
billets of mild steel will take a whole lot more force, as you have
said.
