[TheForge] Basket conversion

Hi guys,

I just finished a set of candelabra for my daughter's wedding next month.
They really came out nice except that I put an open basket in the middle of
the main upright, and didn't use heavy enough stock. I used 4 bars of 1/4"
and they just don't have the strenght to to support the weight.

I've come up with two possible solutions: 1) Cut out the current baskets and
replace them with ones made from heavier stock. or 2) Reinforce the current
baskets by converting them into Stegler type baskets. What do you think?
Have any of you tried to add another layer of bars on a finished piece?
Should I use 4 bars since the original baskets had 4 bars or would it be
better to add 6 bars which would fit around it better?

As a side note, it seems like I've done more forge welding in the last three
days than I have all year. Each piece required 12 welds. What was I thinking
when I designed these?
