If the point is " to sell my work", I'm not sure I care what you  call me.
Goes back to the recommendation     to call it a metal fab shop, just so
the code inspectors know what to do.
"YOU HAVE TO PLAY THE GAME." if you want to be 'fine' art.
Have a friend who does fab work for a guy that takes the Quilt that
he welds up.....  to New York "art galleries" and sells them to "those"
arteest for $5000.00  .  All my friend does is patch weld up scrap pieces,
by the hour  ( while sweety talks on the phone).  Kinda chaps my friend ,
that he is making windfall profits off his sweat.  But he's also not willing
to play that game w/ the galleries.
