Terry,

Is there something special about the glass itself that you want/need to
preserve? If the mirror isn't beveled or etched it may be cheaper to
simply replace the mirror in the frame. In looking around the web this
mornig I found a site that sells resilvering supplies (3 chemical process
that includes mercury) at a cost of $130 for the
kit. (http://www.robinsonsantiques.com/mirror-resilvering.htm) This would
resilver quite a few mirrors though, so maybe you could consider a small
side business venture with it.

 From their site:
FAQs:
1.How much does it cost to resilver a mirror?
Retail: $10.95/sq ft - Length (inches) x Width (inches) divide by 144 x
$10.95 = Cost. Minimum charge 2 ft. Wholesale (resale number required):
$9.95/sq ft - Length (inches) x Width (inches) divide by 144 x $9.95 =
Cost. Minimum charge 2 ft.

6.Does Robinsons Antiques sell mirror resilvering supplies?
Yes. The supplies are expensive. One pint of each of the three chemicals
you need totals about $130.00 (plus shipping). The price varies depending
on the current price of silver. Supplies are available from us at:
Robinson's Antiques
763 West Bippley Road
Lake Odessa, Mi 48849 Phone: (616) 374-7750

Hope this helps.
