There are instructions for silvering glass in the Handbook of
Chemistry and Physics in the Arts and Recipes section.  At least it's
in my 40th ed. circa 1958 -- it may be one of the things that they
dropped frpm newer edition, as they did the alloy for teaspoons that
melt in hot coffee.

You *do* have a HbkC&P, don't you, Terry?  :-) (I can type it up for
you if you don't have and can't get the book -- about a page of tiny
type.)
