If it were me I'd use 1/8" E6010 for the root pass. Then use 3/32" 7018 for
the consecutive beads. Cleaning is important. If you don't have a grinder
use a file to clean off the oxide since it melts at a higher temperature
than the base metal. Both of these rods run on DC reverse polarity and can
be found at about any store that handles such things (tractor supply,
welding supply stores etc.)
