hello rick;

how goes it? have not seen you in at least 1.5 years.
how is the family? have you been up to burlington,wi
lately? would you be up to helping me make a couple
spring swages some weekend? i have not been out in the
shop in nearly two years. been back out the past week
cleaning up and rearranging it.

i have re-read  the description a number of times and i keep
coming back to the same conclusion; that he had two 3d forms
used to form the spirals. one for the left-hand spiral and
one for the right-hand spiral.

making those forms would be a project of it's own.
